I have confidence in me

I realized today that I'm not as confident in myself as I thought I was. In many things I'm confident that I can do whatever I set my mind to. When it comes to music though, like playing the piano or learning music theory I feel like a failure. Which is not true. I know a lot about music and more then I realize. I can read music even if I feel like I can't and I can play piano even if I feel like I can't. Sometimes we are just to hard on ourselves and we just need to give ourselves a break.

If you saw the American Idol results Thursday night you know what I'm talking about

So it's not about modesty about I watch American Idol and I was not happy with the results so I'm venting. :)


So I was not happy with the American Idol results at all. I love watching American Idol don't get me wrong but at least three of the wrong people went home on Thursday night. The only person I can say was the right person to go home was Ashley. She just didn't pick the right song to sing. I mean she has a good voice but it was the wrong song for her and that's why she got voted off. The other three though, I have no idea what the heck those viewers of American Idol are thinking. America was being stupid because first off, out of the guys Tim should have gone home instead of Joe. I mean honestly did Tim think he pulled off that performance of the song Apologize by: One Republic? His rendition of it sucked and frankly he should have apologized for his performance of Apologize. :) Sorry just a little humor there. :) Seriously though, Tim should have gone home Thursday night instead of Joe and Alex Lambert should have gone home instead of Tyler Grady. I mean hello? again what was America thinking? Tyler Grady was one of the best ones there and they choose Alex Lambert over him? It's just sad to me. I mean personally who really should have gone was Tim Urban and Todrick Hal out of the guys and out of the girls they were right to send Ashley home but Janelle should have not gone home instead it should have been Haeley Vaughn. No offense to Haeley but singing I want to hold your hand was the wrong song to sing. (At least for her.) America sent home a lot of good singers Thursday night and that's why I'm voting next week so the good singers can stay and the bad singers can go home. Anyways, does anyone else watch American Idol and think I'm right or think I'm wrong? Let me know I want to hear other people's opinions as well. :)

Modest Fashion Tips :)

Hey everyone!! :) Sorry I haven't been posting lately!! :( I'm back now though. So I wanted to give some modest fashion tips. First off, I know because of the rain we need to cover up anyways or we all will be freezing!! :) Anyways,here's some tips. I love Forever 21!! :) One of the best stores around. What's nice about this one is it has some long sleeve tee's that are form fitting but what I do to make it more modest is put a t-shirt over the long sleeve and then it's modest!! :) Also, they have some nice tank tops to put underneath t-shirts if the shirt is really see through. The one thing I really like especially in this weather is leggings. I really got into the long leggings lately. What's great about leggings is that you put a long t-shirt with it or a short dress with it and it will make the dress modest! :) Anyways, I hope these modesty tips help and you don't have to go to Forever 21 to get these things. dig around in your closet and find ways to layer clothes. Also, Target or Walmart is another place you could go to get some cute modest clothes for a good price!! :)

Modesty Is Important to Me

Okay, so I have to blog again because of the one response I got about modesty from Greg. My feeling of being modest and looking sexy is not drawing the line of seeing how short I can make my skirt before it's not modest anymore I make sure I'm still modest and that my skirt or dress hits the knee and that the sleeves are long enough to cover my shoulders as well. As I mentioned before I'm a Latter Day Saint AND I'm preparing to go on a mission. With that being said thats why I say you can look "sexy" quote on quote and still be modest and not be showing anything you shouldn't.

Modest can be sexy! :)

So really I had to blog tonight after the comment I got on my last blog. I really have to say you can get a guy by dressing modestly. I'm a Latter Day Saint(most people know us by our nickname "Mormons") and I can attest that you can still dress sexy and look beautiful by dressing modestly. I don't know how many guys have told me (I have lost count :) ) that they like when a girl dresses modestly and doesn't dress revealing. Now with me being a Latter Day Saint I would prefer to have a guy who loves me for the way I am and appreciates that I dress modestly. I also dress modestly in respect for God. I feel that if I dress modestly that I would feel more comfortable and wouldn't feel like I'm disrespecting the body God gave me.

So I went for a bike ride today and a long the way decided to do some shopping. I was very disappointed that I could find practically nothing that was modest. As I was shopping I was shocked at all the tank tops, spaghetti straps, and shirts that look more like a bikini bathing suit top then a shirt, it made me sad. Now I have never been perfect in the always being modest factor but I hate how it feels when I have dressed immodestly. I love the way it feels when I dress modestly though. :) It's awesome when you can find a cute outfit for a good price that's modest. However, in the world today you have to search long and hard to find the perfect modest outfit that you feel you just can't live without. :) It's even harder to find shorts and dresses that are long enough and modest enough especially if your tall and you have to make sure the length is long enough and modest enough for your height. :) This is a girl who has had to try on clothes every time she shops because I have to make sure it's long enough. :) Anyways, one of these days modesty will become a trend. I have truly come to believe that modest is the hottest!! :) You can look cute and still be modest. Well that's all from confessions of a shopalcoholic today.
